For the 10th anniversary of his own label Alexander Wang designed 4 pieces, 2 hoodies and 2 T-shirts, for the DoSomething organization. This is one of the largest global orgs for young people that, throughout all different kinds of actions, wants to set social change in motion. 50% of the profit will go to this good cause and thanks to 37 of Alexander Wang’s famous friends who modelled for the collection (Kate Moss, Kanye West, Rod Stewart just to name a few) everything was sold out quite quickly. (Sometimes pieces are added so you can still check the website)

 

 

Around 1 a.m. on a regular Wednesday night I saw an article on the W Magazine website passing by that was talking about the capsule collection. However I urgently needed to catch some sleep and that I was on a strictly non shopping diet, I couldn’t resist visiting the Alexander Wang webshop to see if the white T-shirt was still available… Of course it was and in my size so I grabbed my credit card and ordered it. After all the sweaters and T-shirts with quotes I’ve been wearing the past few years, this is the only one that actually has something important to say. “Do Something” unfortunately is a sentence that pops up in my mind way too often when I’m reading a journal or watching the news. So wearing this T-shirt is a great way to both express myself and support a good cause!
